Things to do in Gainesville Georgia

Located on the Historic Green street in Gainesville, Georgia, you will find the Quinlan Visual Art Center. The Quinlan Visual Arts Center is north Georgia’s premier arts organization. What started  as a sketch club, founded  the Gainesville ART association in 1946.

In 1955, Leslie F. Quinlan deeded the land for the center, “not as a gift, but as an investment in the cultural future of the community.” Renovated and expanded in 2004, the center is today known for its commitment to excellence, quality programming and educational opportunities for all ages and all stages of artistic development.

The Quinlan hosts several events each year such as seven major exhibitions annually, workshops instructed by nationally and internationally recognized artists, a quarterly class schedule with courses in all media for both children and adults, summer art camps for kids, a museum-quality gift shop featuring original art created by local artists, and other special events for the community.
